The Two-Year Program for Creative Dance Training
This intensive, multidisciplinary two-year program is designed for dancers and movers who wish to deepen their artistic language and evolve as independent artists in the fields of dance and performance.
The program emphasizes a broad engagement with diverse techniques and disciplines, alongside tools drawn from voice, text, and material-based creation — expanding the performer’s expressive and creative range.
Through inquiry-based learning, group work, and encounters with nature and the world beyond the studio, the training process awakens the embodied knowledge inherent in the performer’s body

Weekly Programs in Deepening the Body and Movement
The weekly programs offer a consistent framework for movement practice, combining somatic physical exploration with technical refinement. Classes draw on a variety of disciplines — dance, improvisation, floor work, and somatic approaches — creating a living encounter between body, space, and others.
These programs are intended for dancers and movement professionals wishing to deepen their physical and creative capacities, for therapists and educators seeking new tools for embodied practice, and for anyone drawn to cultivating conscious movement in their daily lives.
The work is rooted in experiential and multi-sensory exploration of the body — as both a foundation for learning and a space of knowledge — while developing intimate, process-based group work.
This year, we offer two distinct tracks: the Somatic Program and the Technical Program.
ARTISTS Program with Alexandre Del Perugia (France)
This program is designed for performers with at least two years of professional experience in their field.
Under the guidance of Alexandre Del Perugia, one of Europe’s most sought-after teachers, a group of eight artists will be accompanied throughout their creative process — from studio exploration to stage presentation.
The program combines individual mentorship with peer learning in a collegial and inspiring environment.
The program includes six intensive retreats, held Thursday–Saturday every six weeks, at the Zuzima Center for Contemporary Movement in Mitzpe Ramon.

מופע אינטראקטיבי המתרחש בתוך ומסביב למבנה תיאטרלי ב-3 מעגלי צפייה . יצירה זו היא פרי שיתוף פעולה בינלאומי שהחל כמסע חקירה בימתי במסגרת 3 תקופות שהות אמן. תהליך החקירה והיצירה מובל ונאסף ע"י אלכסנדר דל פרוג'יה, אמן ובמאי צרפתי, יליד מרוקו, החוקר בעבודתו את מרחב הבדידות הבימתית ותפיסתו הייחודית היא נקודת המפגש המשותפת שלנו.
בפרויקט שותפים אמנים ממדינות שונות, אשר חוקרים יחד לאורך זמן את החלימה כשפת הנפש הקולקטיבית של האדם ,אותה אנו דוברים מיום היוולדנו ודרכה אנו נפגשים כל העת.
למרחב הזה אנו רוצים להזמין את הצופה כשותף, שאיננו מחויב לנקודת מבט אחת שאורגנה עבורו, אלא נותר חופשי לנוע בין נקודות המבט בחיפוש רב חושי אחר העמדה שלו ובכך גם משפיע על תנועת הכלל.

Center for Dance and Performance
Located in the heart of the wild Negev Highlands, Zuzima is a center dedicated to research, creation, and the development of new movement languages.
We offer unique, laboratory-like conditions for artists, choreographers, and movement practitioners from Israel and around the world who wish to deepen their practice and explore the boundaries of their medium.
The center combines professional tools with the raw materials of the desert — its exposed earth, spacious silence, and the distinct rhythm of time — as fertile ground for artistic and physical research.
Zuzima is a space for process-based exploration and for developing new methodologies in creation, learning, and teaching. It nurtures artists and performers who seek to reinvent the language of performance and its modes of expression.
Our creative and educational work expands beyond the studio into the public realm, building connections with the local community, neighboring cultures, and the surrounding landscapes.
We encourage encounters between diverse practices, movement philosophies, and artistic disciplines, all in pursuit of a contemporary language where the body itself becomes the material, the terrain, and the driving force.
